  8. • MacsBug is Apple’s official debugger for the Macintosh.  
  9. • MacsBug works in a small amount of memory, and offers the standard set of features expected in a debugger, plus more, like expandability with dcmds, templates, and macros.

  11. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  12. Macintosh Plus or later with 1Mb or more RAM.

  14. INSTALLATION
  15. Drop MacsBug and the Debugger Prefs file into your system folder.

  17. WHY USE THE CURRENT FINAL VERSION IF WE PROVIDE A NEWER VERSION?
  18. MacsBug 6.1 is a more stable release.

  20. ABOUT THE PRE-RELEASE VERSION
  21. MacsBug 6.2a4 adds compatibility with the Macintosh IIfx and many third-party video cards.  There are added macros and commands for searching memory.

  23. CAUTION USING THE PRE-RELEASE VERSION
  24. This version has been known to ignore breakpoints.

  26. IN THE FUTURE
  27. MacsBug 6.2 final should be finished by the next E.T.O.  This version will fix all of the known 6.2a4 bugs, and work with more third-party monitors.  We may have MacsBug grow in height, based on monitor height, if that doesn’t cause any problems.
